Tara Fletcher
Head of Ultrasound Services
Tara leads the strategic, clinical, operational and commercial development of Medica Ireland’s ultrasound division across its public and private healthcare partnerships.
A qualified radiographer and sonographer, she has more than 15 years’ experience in diagnostic imaging across the Irish and UK healthcare systems. Her career has encompassed advanced clinical practice, research, clinical education, service development and senior clinical operational leadership. She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Management Excellence from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Since joining Medica in 2023, Tara has led the mobilisation and expansion of ultrasound services across multiple locations and healthcare partnerships. Her work has focused on developing sustainable services, strengthening operational performance, establishing consistent standards of practice and creating workforce and professional-development structures that support continued growth.
Her leadership approach is collaborative, clinically grounded and focused on delivery. She is particularly committed to building high-performing teams, expanding sonographer-led services and ensuring patients receive consistently high-quality, accessible and patient-centred care.
