Medica is expanding its daytime reporting model and is seeking radiologists interested in Monday-Friday reporting sessions, available as full days or half days.
This is not “typical” backlog-style teleradiology or Nighthawk reporting. These roles are designed to mirror the experience of working within a radiology department – remotely supporting one or two HSE hospitals as part of their wider clinical team.
The work is primarily focused on X-ray, Ultrasound and CT reporting, with MRI reporting opportunities also available depending on experience and service requirements.
Alongside reporting, radiologists may be involved in:
- Vettting and protocol support
- Real-time case discussion
- Direct collaboration with radiographers and referrers
- Building familiarity with the hospital teams and workflows
- Working closely with the Medica operational and clinical teams
- Participating in MDT meetings and contributing to ongoing clinical discussions
The work offers genuine variety, continuity and clinical engagement, rather than purely transactional reporting. We are happy to work around a roster that suits you, with the opportunity to establish your own regular dedicated days and/or sessions.
These sessions may particularly suit:
- Radiologists overseas looking to gain real-time HSE hospital experience
- Recently retired radiologists who would like to remain clinically engaged
- Part-time radiologists seeking interesting and rewarding daytime work
- Anyone who enjoys collaborative radiology and relationship-based working
What we offer:
- Flexible scheduling tailored to individual availability
- Full workstation provision in Ireland and/or abroad
- Competitive remuneration
Medica is a trusted Irish provider delivering high-quality diagnostic services while enabling radiologists to maintain professional autonomy and flexibility. If this opportunity is of interest to you personally, or relevant to a colleague you know, please fill in the form or share the role with those interested. Confidential enquiries welcome.
